Forney, TX

The Lady Rabbits of Forney High and the Lady Falcons of North Forney High were able to drop off two truck loads of donations to the Forney Fire Department thanks to the generosity of our community.  The  donations were collected on behalf of the tornado victims of Canton and surrounding area.  IMG_0280

Special thanks to the Forney Fire Department for allowing the girls to drop off donations and coordinating their distribution to Canton.

Thanks to Warren Middle School athletes (organized by Coach Wilkerson, Coach Bowen and Coach Cook), the Forney High Girls’ Track Team (organized by Sandy Cook)

There were the several families in the Chestnut Meadows Community that donated to the cause.  Also parents and players of the Lady Rabbit Soccer team went out of their way to donate to the cause as well.  This was in coordination with Coach Falloure of North Forney accepting donations.  It was a unique opportunity for several community members to work together to support a cause regardless of what side of town you live on.

In 2012, Forney felt the devastation of a tornado. People from surrounding communities came together to restore our city.  This was an opportunity for Forney to give back.

The Lady Rabbit Soccer players look forward to working with other organizations and make an impact in the community in the future.  The Rise Up Campaign hopefully won’t stop here.  The team will be loo
king for other community service opportunities in the future. IMG_0277
