Lady Rabbit Soccer players are rising to the top in the area stat leaders in the DFW area.  Freshman Kasey Carter has made a statement as a first year letter-man with 23 goals and 10 assists so far this season. 3rd year varsity letter-man Junior Alyssa Price matching Carter’s stats with 23 goals and 10 assists.

Senior- Desiree Rodriguez, who sometimes plays defensive midfield in addition to offensive roles, has scored 15 goals with 10 assists.

These are impressive stats for individual players, but there have been a number of other offensive contributors on the team pushing the Lady Rabbits to set a record in goals scored in one season.  As a team, Lady Rabbits are ranked 6th offensively in the DFW area according to the Dallas Morning News. There are several players on field promoting offense; it’s really been an overall team effort. Scoring threats have also been coming from:  Makensey Briggs, Megan Wills, Chloe Chadwick, Sydney Thrasher, Belle Enriquez, and Taylor Brown.

Names you won’t see on a defensive or offensive stat sheet regularly is Delaney Welch and Saryn Gee.  Although not always in the spotlight (as midfielders), these players are pivotal to the team’s success on offense and defense.

Sophomore keeper Zoe Theriot is also among area leaders completing her 13th shutout of the season on Friday night.  Zoe has been playing well in addition to her defensive back line that is currently ranked 6th in the DFW area. In addition, Hayli Nichols has stepped in as keeper limiting goals scored this season.  Defenders include: Hannah Yudizky, Tatum Mercer, Isabella Dimson, Anna Enochs, Madi Lewis, Celeste Reza and Mikayla Peterson.

Overall the Lady Rabbits are 15-3-5 and 10-1 in district. It’s been a great season, but they are not done yet. Lady Rabbits still have North Forney on the horizon and have clinched a playoff spot for the 11th year.
