Jackrabbits News · Forney High School Sports Medicine First Week On The Move


It has been a busy ten days for the Forney High School Sports Medicine Student Athletic Trainer Staff.  FHS Student trainers started their school year by participating in student athletic trainer orientation and working football camps July 29-31.   On August 1st, parents of student athletic trainers were provided information concerning the FHS Sports Medicine Program at its annual parent meeting held in the FHS athletic complex.   On Saturday, August 3, student athletic trainers got their first action of the year working volleyball scrimmages.  Under the direction of Head Athletic Trainer Richard English, members of the FHS sports medicine student staff traveled to North Forney High School and worked volleyball scrimmages held over there serving athletes from Forney High School, North Forney High School, Garland High School, and Lakeview Centennial High Schools.   On Monday, August 5th, student athletic trainers started working freshman football practice held at Forney High School.   Members of the student athletic trainer staff were also involved in volleyball practices held at FHS.   To sum up the past days,  Head Athletic Trainer Richard English stated, “It was a great start to what is going to be a great year.”
