We are excited to share tennis event information with you because it means we are ready to begin interscholastic competition for the fall! It was a long spring and summer but our students are excited for the opportunity to play.
With state, TEA and UIL safety protocols in place and limited seating for athletic events, restrictions are in place at tennis courts for interscholastic events. Tennis coaches have prescribed areas for spectators as well as for teams. Groups must maintain social distance from one another and may not intermingle.
Though there is no admission charged for spectators at tennis, the same protocols for spectators are posted. For example, spectators should bring their own seating, camp chair, etc., which can be placed at least 6 feet from other guests, or should stand at a designated location. No spectators will be allowed to enter the court areas. Face covering should be worn as prescribed by Governor’s Order G-29. Signs and markers are in place at tennis courts for these events.
Thank you for helping us maintain our safety standards and offer our students the opportunity to compete by following all COVID mitigation practices.
