Jackrabbits News · Senior Spotlight – Bracie Vaughn



The Forney Jackrabbit track & field team would like to recognize Miss Bracie Vaughn. Bracie  is the daughter of Sidney and Veronica Vaughn.  During her high school career, Bracie has accumulated numerous athletic accolades to her name. Her freshman year along with being FHS Track and Field Athlete of the Year, Bracie claimed the district and area championship titles in the l00m hurdles earning her a chance to compete in the regional meet. For the 2019 season, Bracie was once again the district and area champion, bronze medalist in the regional meet and state qualifier in the 100m hurdles. After having her 2020 track season cancelled, Bracie came back this year winning the district championship, placing second at the area meet and finishing 5th at the regional meet. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Bracie has been a member of the National  Society of  High School Athletes since 2018 and has served her community as a volunteer for Little Dribblers, TFF Summer Youth Fitness Camp, and Habitat for Humanity. Bracie plans to participate in track and field as a collegiate student/athlete while studying Zoology/Wildlife Biology with plans to work with animals in some capacity.
